Based on a nemonic to optimize learning, retention and recall of information, S.T.A.B.L.E. stands for the six assessment and care modules in the program: Sugar, Tempreture, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, and Emotional support. A 7th module, Quality Improvement, stresses communication and teamwork as well as the professional responsibility of evaluating care provided to sick infants, with the ultimate goal of improving future care.
This course is recommended for those professions who deliver direct care to newborns or who may be involved in the delvery of newborns.
Due to limited seating, this course is available for Penn State Health employees only and is not open to the public.
